Don't BULLY my BREED!!!

I have come across many unpleasant comments and/or confrontations (non-physical) when walking my fur baby. It deeply saddens my heart to hear such horrible things people can blur out but it hurts most when my 3yr old hears those comments & asks "Mommy, why do they say bad things about Maverick?" I simply tell her that they don't know him and don't know how sweet he is. 

I understand peoples fear to dogs because i was terrified of any dog but unlike them, I've never went out of my way to make horrible comments about their dog. If they only knew that my Maverick is a big baby, he loves his family just as much as we love him. His wagging tail always welcomes us home & his slobbering kisses fill us with laughter. 

Here are some facts about bully breeds:

* The American Bully is a happy, outgoing, stable and confident dog.

* Gentle, loving, good natured, extremely loyal and an affectionate family pet.

* This unique breed is noted for displaying extreme tolerance with children & an overwhelming eagerness to please its family.

* Extremely courageous & intelligent guard dog, full of life.

* Versatile & capable of accomplishing a wide variety of tasks.

* Overall the American Bully is a well-rounded, reliable, trustworthy & ideal family companion. 

When we live with dogs, we become their pack. The entire pack cooperates under a single leader; lines are clearly defined. You must show your dog that you are the leader & establish boundaries for them. With rules, tolerance, & love your relationship with your dog can be a success. (Any breed of dog)

Before you label my breed or any type of dog that seems dangerous to you, be sure you know what you are talking about, because ignorance spreads quickly & thats how wrong information goes around. So please:

DON'T BULLY MY BREED!!

If you are going to judge him by his size, do so but only judge the size of his HEART!!

The Bond Between dog & human...

My fear of dogs (& I mean all DOGS!!) was all due to an experience I had when i was younger. My siblings & I were playing tag in central park, when all of sudden my sister was running away from me & was screaming at me to run, which had me confused till I saw a humongous dog running towards me. I was about 7 years old & was legit was running for my life; crying my eyes out as the dog ran behind me!!! Since that day I was terrified of dogs, as the years went by if I saw a dog that seemed scary to me I would either cross the street or simply wait till dog walked by.

Even though I was extremely terrified of dogs, I still found them to be amazing animals & wanted to have a dog of my own. Yet never had one of my own, that all changed when I met my husband & his family. His whole family loved dogs & he had a a dog which happened to be a pitbull.
I was terrified of pitbulls, mostly to all the attacks you hear on the tv and/or read in the newspaper, that breed is portrayed as such an awful & malicious dog. When I first met Chucky his pitbull, I was terrified & would make my husband hold onto him till I ran to his room but with time I grew to love Chucky, he cured me from my fear of dogs. I owe Chucky a lot, he showed me how much love a dog can give you, without having the ability to speak actual words a dog SHOWS you how much they care for you. My love for dogs only grew after interacting with him,  I finally got my very firsts dog a Chiuahaha named Manhattan which stayed with my parents after I got married & once we got married we got a American Bully named Maverick. Which my husband insisted on getting for our daughter so they can grow up together.

It is such an amazing experience to see my daughter & her dog cause even though we feed him & walk him, Maverick sole belongs to her! The love & bond those two share is unbreakable! Sure her loves my husband & I but my daughter is the beholder of his heart.

With all that being said PLEASE do not JUDGE the breed as being a "bad" breed, a "bad" dog is not born it is created!!!!

 

Lets get a little more personal....

BULLY BREEDS SHOULD BE BANNED.
THE B.S.L LAW SHOULD BE ENFORCED IN ALL MAJOR CITIES. 
THIS BREED & ALL FAMILIAR BREEDS ARE DANGEROUS.

These are just some of the main headlines that are published about PitBulls or any dog that is caterogized in this breed. This Breed has one of the most unfair reputations out there, believed to be a dangerously agressive and post a danger to society. Sadly due to this people don't realize that bully breeds make loyal & loving pets.

To be honest I was included in that group but to be fair i was terrified of all dogs. That was until i started dating my husband and he owned a pitbull. Not only was he a pitbull his name happened to be Chucky which in my head automatically thought of the evil doll, lol. When the moment finally came that Chucky & I met, I was scared and that feeling remained for the first couple of visits. My husband said that Chucky usually didn't allow people he did not know that long pet his head or if he saw people pretend to hit him he would come and head butt them to push them as far away from him as possible. But surprise Chucky let me pet him on the head & if i would pretend to hit my husband and my husband would move close to me he would push him away from me, Lol. Chucky & I had a wonderful relationship from there on, he was so loving, loyal and protective. 
Even though Chucky had been a awesome and loyal pitbull, I was still hesitant about owning a pitbulll once we had kids. My husband said the only breed he would ever have is pitbull. So to make this story short, (Lol, sorry i can ramble once i get started) We are now parents to our furbaby Maverick which is a American Bully, this breed is not common here on the east coast. Chucky sadly is no longer with us but will forever remain in our hearts.
